Public Universities: Honors Colleges and Programs

Many Public Universities offer enriched academic opportunities to students with strong high school academic records through honors programs and colleges. Usually, these programs and colleges offer a smaller environment within a larger university.

• Honors Programs are either more in-depth programs in a specific field of study or are programs that offer a broader scope of study as opposed to a regular program.
• An Honors College can be thought of as a school within a school and is offered by many public universities.
